EOS Annual Meeting EOSAM brought together photonics experts. The European Optical Society Annual Meeting, EOSAM, took place onsite in Porto from 12^th to 16^th September 2022.

EOSAM is a major international scientific conference covering all aspects of optics and photonics. It is attended by top researchers, key leaders, students, and industry experts.

As an integral conference in the field in Europe, EOSAM has always provided a valuable opportunity for presenting and discussing work, stimulating contact between colleagues, from young researchers to seasoned experts. EOSAM is where research meets industry and education.

EOSAM this year included 13 topical meetings on Silicon Photonics and Guided-Wave Optics, Computational, Adaptive and Freeform Optics, Optical System Design, Tolerancing and Manufacturing, Bio-Medical Optics, Resonant Nanophotonics, Optical Materials, Thermal radiation and energy management, Nonlinear and Quantum Optics, Opto-electronic Nanotechnologies and Complex Systems, Optical Metrology, Tapered Optical Fibers, Optofluidics, and advances and applications of Optics and Photonics.

Several special sessions were included for Early Stage Researchers, and EU Project Dissemination, in addition to an industrial optics podium session.
