The mm Universe conference is the second edition in a series of biennial workshops.

This international conference is mainly dedicated to the scientific exploitation of the NIKA2 camera installed at the 30-m telescope of IRAM located in Pico Veleta (Spain). The conference focused on scientific topics such as the environmental impact on dust properties, the star formation processes at low and high redshifts, the evolution of large-scale structures and the use of galaxy clusters for precision cosmology.

EPJ Web of Conferences welcomes Paulo Limão-Vieira in its Editorial Board

Paulo Limão-Vieira has joined the Web of Conferences editorial board with particular responsibility for EPJ Web of Conferences.

EPJ Web of Conferences is glad to announce that Paulo Limão-Vieira has joined the Web of Conferences editorial board with particular responsibility for EPJ Web of Conferences.

Paulo Limão-Vieira is a Professor of Molecular Physics at NOVA School of Science, and full researcher at Centre of Physics and Technological Research, CEFITEC, also in Lisbon. At CEFITEC he founded in 2004 the Atomic and Molecular Collisions Laboratory where his research focuses on electron transfer processes in atom-molecule collisions and electron scattering from polyatomic molecules. He has developed a unique crossed molecular beam experiment and led several research grants training post-docs and allowing different generations of students to obtain their PhD degrees. Currently he is member of several international scientific and steering committees and has served from 2019-2021 as chair of the Electron International Advisory Committee for Electron, Molecule and Swarms (EMS).

The 6th workshop of the Hellenic Institute of Nuclear Physics (HINP) took place as a special virtual event, co-organized by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the University of Ioannina on 14-16 May 2021.

The nuclear physics laboratories of these institutions and of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki are founding members of HINP, which is a virtual institute with non-profitable character.

EPJ Web of Conferences Highlight - CHEP2021: Computing in High Energy and Nuclear Physics

More than 1000 people attended this year’s virtual CHEP conference.

The 25th edition of the Computing in High Energy and Nuclear Physics (CHEP) conference took place as a special virtual event, organised by CERN, from 17th to 21st May 2021.

The CHEP conference series has run for more than 3 decades and brings together physicists, software engineers and computing experts from major experiments, laboratories and facilities.

EPJ WOC - EPJ WOC offers fast publication amongst many benefits – excellent performance in 2020

We are proud to highlight that EPJ Web of Conferences, the open access platform devoted to the publication of scientific conference proceedings, has received outstanding feedback from conference organisers regarding publication times in 2020. Indeed, for many, this is now one of the main reasons for choosing EPJ Web of Conferences.

We strive to publish proceedings quickly to enable the dissemination and discovery of research amongst the academic community. On average, we publish proceedings online within just 2 weeks for standard conferences and 3 to 4 weeks for larger conferences (involving around 200 papers). These are excellent turnaround times and a testament to our efficient processes, dedicated and responsive team, and understanding of our partners’ needs.

A snapshot of quantum field fluctuations present in the space-time vacuum that are experienced by quarks, the fundamental particles that constitute nuclear matter (here the gluonic topological charge density).

The CHEP conferences address the computing, networking and software issues for the world’s leading data‐intensive science experiments that currently analyse hundreds of petabytes of data using worldwide computing resources.

The 24th International Conference on Computing in High Energy and Nuclear Physics (CHEP 2019), took place at the Adelaide Convention Centre in Adelaide, South Australia from 4–8 November 2019.

It was my pleasure to be given the opportunity of being helpful in the scientific production process of EPJD. I enjoyed the experience as a referee for the journal: it was instructive, and its procedures were clear and simple. You can certainly count on my assistance for future similar appointments.
