- Rationale for the collection with a focus on how it fits within the journal aim and scope:
PSAS2024 follows the series of workshops on Precision Physics of Simple Atomic Systems (2000-2022) which started in 2000 in Castiglione della Pescaia and last took place in Warsaw, Poland (2022).
The conference is devoted to precision studies of simple atomic and molecular systems to develop new approaches and access various fundamental issues within and beyond atomic physics and possible new physics. Applications include particle and nuclear physics, atomic and molecular physics, astrophysics, metrology, etc.
The proposed Topical collection will bring together a selection of papers based on the contributions to the above conference, after undergoing the per-review process in the journal.
A Topical collection with papers based on the contributions to the 2022 conference can be found here.
