Inverse-square-type potential from the interaction of the magnetic quadrupole moment of a neutral particle with a magnetic field

We analyse the attractive inverse-square-type potential that arises from the interaction of the magnetic quadrupole moment of a neutral particle with the magnetic field. Then, we search for bound state solutions to the Schrödinger equation. Besides, we analyse the repulsive inverse-square-type potential that arises from the interaction of the magnetic quadrupole moment of a neutral particle with the magnetic field. Thus, we discuss the influence of this repulsive inverse-square-type potential on the neutral particle subject to two cylindrical surfaces and a cylindrical surface.
