In the present work, we used the recently parallelized version of the Schwinger multichannel method to calculate positron scattering cross sections by methane, acetylene, ethylene, and ethane in the static plus polarization approximation. These calculations, marked by heightened computational demands compared to our previous work, exhibit significantly improved agreement with most recent experimental data. Furthermore, we investigate the potential existence of bound states in our calculations through the analysis of scattering lengths. Our findings demonstrate a superior agreement with both theoretical predictions and experimental measurements when compared with previous computational approaches.
