Abstract
We present detailed ab initio results for resonance formation in low energy electron scattering from uracil obtained with the R-matrix method. We identify a larger number of resonances than any previous theoretical study. Most of these resonances have core-excited shape character and appear to be associated to the ring structure of the molecule. Their link to DEA spectra and to the resonances present in electron scattering from pyrimidine are discussed.
