We have carried out calculations to investigate the effects of Lorentzian plasmas on the resonant Compton scattering of photons by the excited state electron of hydrogenic ions using sympletic integration scheme. The resonant scattering cross sections in Lorentizan plasmas between 1s and 2p, 2s and 3p, 2p and 3d states are reported as functions of the spectral index and plasmas parameters. The plasma screening effects are more pronounced with increasing screening strength.
