We investigate the quantum Zeno and anti-Zeno effects in a two-state system coupling to a spin chain environment in transverse magnetic fields. The effective decay rate affected by the environment has been calculated and analyzed. The results show that the Zeno-anti-Zeno transitions can occur in such system, which has a connection with the quantum phase transition in the environment.
