Synthesis of metal nanoshells around organic micelles is achieved through radiolysis of aqueous solutions of surfactant self-assembled in spherical micelles and metal ions. The formation of the metal nanoshells is evidenced by UV-visible spectroscopy and Small Angle X-ray Scattering.
