The K and K X-ray fluorescence cross-sections for the bromide and the iodide compounds were measured by a high-resolution Si(Li) X-ray detector. The vacancies were produced by heavily filtered 241Am gamma rays. We found that K and K X-ray fluorescence cross-sections are changed by chemical effect for different Br and I compounds. Experimental results were compared with the calculated values of Br and I elements.
