Submissions are invited for a Topical Issue of EPJ D on “Dynamics and Photodynamics: from isolated molecules to the condensed phase”.

Topics to be covered include but are not limited to:

  • Photodynamics in gas phase and clusters: spectra, energy transfer and reactions
  • Ultrafast processes
  • Photodynamics in condensed phases: spectra, energy transfer and reactions
  • Ultracold collisions
  • Photodynamics in nano and biological systems
  • Collisions with surfaces
  • Molecular systems with astrophysical and astrochemical interests

Original research papers, Reviews, and Colloquium-type articles focusing on latest experimental, theoretical or computational advancements on the topic related to Photodynamics are welcome. We invite contributors to communicate their intention to submit manuscripts for this Topical Issue to the Guest Editors as soon as possible. Please provide the tentative title of the paper and a short abstract. The full manuscripts should be submitted before the deadline directly to the EPJ D Editorial Office at https://www.editorialmanager.com/epjd/.

Deadline for submission: March 30, 2023.

Submissions should be clearly identified as intended for the Topical Issue on “Dynamics and Photodynamics: from isolated molecules to the condensed phase”. Papers will be published continuously and will appear as soon as accepted on the journal website. The electronic version of the Topical Issue will contain all accepted papers in the order of publication. All submitted papers will be refereed according to the usual high standards of the journal. More information about EPJ D, including instructions for authors is available here.

Following the success of the ten previous editions of the International Meeting on Photodynamics, held since 2000, as well as the overwhelming demand to continue with this scientific forum as a regular serial Conference, we are planning from November 7 to 11, 2022, to host the Eleventh International Meeting on Photodynamics in Havana, Cuba. The scope of the Conference will include environmental problems and biological systems of interest. Specifically, the following topics will be covered: structure and energetics of molecular systems, dynamics and reactivity of isolated molecular species, and species in clusters (small and large), as well as condensed phase (liquid and solid), control of chemical reactions, and collisions with surfaces. Both theoretical and experimental aspects of these topics will be considered.

Open Access

EPJ D is a hybrid journal offering Open Access publication via the Open Choice programme and a growing number of Springer Compact “Publish and Read” arrangements which enable authors to publish OA at no direct cost (all costs are paid centrally).

I'm specially delighted in the high quality work of the referees in revising my article which gave me a good impression about the journal and its quality. I will most certainly consider this journal as one of the major options when I need to publish the results of my research.
